He leaves his wife of 46 years, Margaret M. (McCarthy) Xenos; two sons, Richard S. Xenos of Worcester, and Donald G. Xenos II, husband of Norah M. Xenos, two grandsons, Andrew and Gregory Xenos, all of Westborough; a brother, Richard A. Xenos of Holden; and several nephews and nieces. His brother, Robert Brosnihan, predeceased him.
He was born in Boston, son of George and Margaret Xenos. Raised in Worcester, he graduated from Commerce High School and Worcester State College. He did graduate work at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Mr. Xenos was an Army veteran of the Korean War era.
He was a longtime educator in the Worcester Public Schools, retiring in 2000 as assistant principal at Burncoat High School.
