STONEVILLE - Thomas Homer Biggs, 81, of 2541 River Road, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, after a lengthy illness.

His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at the Ray Funeral Home Chapel, Madison. Burial will be in the Deep Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Stoneville.

Mr. Biggs was a native of Patrick County, Va., and had lived in Stoneville since 1924, was retired from Tultex after 40 years of service and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He attended the Deep Springs Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by an infant son and his parents, Walter and Minnie Lee Stowe Biggs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Helen Brande Biggs of the home; daughter, Joan Williams and husband, Charles of Madison; brother, Paul Biggs and wife, Polly of Mayodan; three grandchildren, Angel Williams and husband, David, Charles Williams II of Madison and Tammie Moran and husband, Rob of Blythewood, S.C.; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Bailey Williams.
