She graduated from Jefferson High School in Jefferson. She was married to R.E. "Red" Golemon who passed away in 1982. Goldie and Red were members of the Dallas Athletic Country Club, the Petroleum Club and the Engineers Club. Goldie enjoyed golfing and fishing and was a member of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas. She spent most of her life in Dallas, where Red was associated with M.J. Delaney Drilling Co.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Myers and his wife, Fannie; and her sister, Gladys Myers Connor and her husband, R.C. Connor.
