Jane Wade Bowery of Norcross, Georgia, peacefully passed away on October 23, 2023, at the age of 87. Born on November 24, 1935, in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Susie Carroll and Wesley Thomas Wade. Also preceding Jane in death were her brothers, Robert and Duane Wade and her sister, Kathryn Russell.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jane was an accomplished pianist, organist and soloist from a very young age. She first served as a church organist in Ettrick, Virginia at the age of 14 and continued to serve churches and the community as an adult in New Kent County, VA; Gwinnett County, GA; an Camden County, GA. She and her family joined Norcross First United Methodist Church and The Dukes Sunday School Class in 1969. She dedicated her time and talent as a devoted member for over five decades. Until recent years she loved teaching her Sunday School Class.

Jane's dedication to education and her unwavering passion for teaching led her to a successful career in public schools. She began her teaching career in 1965 in New Kent County, Virginia. After moving to Norcross, she obtained a Master's Degree from The University of Georgia. She subsequently spent over three decades as a dedicated educator in Gwinnett County before retiring. Jane's impact on her students' lives was immeasurable, leaving a profound mark on the countless young minds she guided throughout her career.
