On Sept. 12, 1958, in Lawrence County, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Belva Lou Chandler and to this union two sons and one daughter were born.
For over 30 years he owned and operated Parmley's Garage in Sarcoxie. He also served 26 years on the Sarcoxie Fire Department, 13 years as chief. He enjoyed the great outdoors where his favorite activities were hunting and fishing. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Fats is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Belva Parmley, of the home; two sons, C. Eugene Parmley and Ronald Parmley; a daughter, Carla Kerr, all of Sarcoxie; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Carl Parmley, of Goodman, Mo., and Jim Parmley, of the state of Texas; three sisters, Ila Thompson, of Udall, Kan., Mary Lowe, of Miami, Okla., and Dolly Gray, of Miami; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
