Betty McLure Drew, 90, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road with Reverend Russell Harper officiating. The family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, private for family only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to High Point Church, 2963 Hollis Road, Macon, Georgia 31206.
Betty was born in Troy, Alabama to the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel McLure; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hamilton Drew, Sr. A resident of Macon for many years, she was a member of High Point Church and worked as a counselor for Save A Life.
She is survived by her children, Jan Harper (Russell) of Fairview, NC; Joe H. Drew, Jr. (Pam) of Macon, and Jennifer Drew Fennell (Bruce) of Lebanon, TN; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Alice Jump (Billy) of Milledgeville; and several nieces and nephews.
