Lloyd Cecil "Shorty" Abbott, 73, of Hot Springs died Thursday, August 26, 1999, in a local hospital.
Born April 16, 1926, in Royal, he was a U.S. Air Force World War II, Korean War and Vietnam veteran, Kmart check-out supervisor and member of Lake Hamilton Baptist Church, VFW, American Legion and AARP.
Survivors include his wife, Aileen S. Abbott of Hot Springs; one sister, Mrs. Laudell Coleman of Hot Springs; and two nieces, Brenda Wood and Vera Thornton.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Gross Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. John D. Davey officiating.
