William Clarence Dodd was my husband, Roy William's uncle. Clarence was married to Portia Williams Dodd. Portia was a sister to Roy's father, Jasper Leroy Williams who is buried at Edgewood Memorial Cemetery in North Little Rock,Arkansas.

Shady Grove Cemetery is located on the east side of Hwy 67/167 approximately one mile south of the road junction of U.S. Highways 64 & 67 at Bald Knob. The cemetery is divided into two sections, both well maintained.

Bald Knob, July 23, 1955

William Clarence Dodd, age 67, owner of Bald Knob Pharmacy, died Saturday at a Searcy hospital. He was born in Lawrence County and had lived in Bald Knob, 34 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marie Dodd; two sons, Dr. William Carroll Dodd, Bald Knob, and Dr. Perry L. Dodd of Augusta , and four grandchildren. Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Bald Knob at Forbes Funeral Chapel by Rev. Pharis Holifield, pastor of Bald Knob Methodist Church. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Bald Knob.

William Clarence married Marie after Portia died.
