Jacob Zantinga, a respected citizen of Kalamazoo for three decades, died at 11 o'clock this morning at his home, 1201 north Church street. Mr. Zantinga came to Kalamazoo from the Netherlands thirty years ago and has always lived on the place where he died. His occupation was raising celery and he was known among his business associates as an upright and hardworking man. He leaves a wife and three daughters, Mrs. Kruisinga, Mrs. Bood and Mrs. Joe Zwag. One brother and five sisters also survive. They are Henry Zantinga, Mrs. Looda, Mrs. VanDyke and Mrs. Ubbes, Mrs. Van Dyke and the Misses Grace and Ann Zantinga of Kalamazoo and Mrs. Zeidema who lives in the Netherland.
