Gordon C. (Porky) Schaeffer Jr., 61, Kokomo, went to be with his Lord peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on Aug. 28, 1948, in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Gordon C. and Marjorie M. Schaeffer.

Gordon loved to ride his Harley, shoot pool, hunt and go fishing. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Gordon is survived by his loving sister and brother-in-law, son and his son's three children; stepmother Barb Schaeffer (deceased), Bartow, Fla.; several aunts and uncles; and lots of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jamie Lee Schaeffer; and several aunts and uncles.

A memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Brookside Free Methodist Church, Ind. 26 East, with Pastor Doug Benham officiating. The service will be followed by a meal at the church. Graveside services will follow at a later date. There will be no visitation.
