Her commitment to education and passion for guiding children will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of being taught by her.
Outside of her professional life, Nancy found great joy in serving as a Sunday School Teacher, sharing her faith and wisdom with others. Her devotion to her family and friends was evident in every aspect of her life. Nancy's warm heart and welcoming spirit made her loved by many.
Nancy was a valued member of the Fountain of Life Church in Elizabeth City, where she found solace and strength in her faith. Her presence will be dearly missed by her church community.
In the embrace of eternity, Nancy is now reunited with her beloved husband of 63 years, Marvin Wilson Waller, as well as her father, Joe Harvey Hartman, and mother, Audrey Mae Dunman Hartman, her brother Charles "Butch" Hartman. Though they have left this earthly life, their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved them.
Nancy leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived by her loving sons, Terry and his wife Kathy, Wayne and his wife Dawn, and Billy and Becca. Additionally, she will be remembered with great affection by her 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind two brothers, Bobby and his wife Linda and Johnny, and two sisters, Joyce Downs and her husband Bob and Carolyn Jeffrey and her husband Vay. Many other family members and friends were fortunate to share in Nancy's life and will carry her memory forward.
