James Douglas "Jimmy" Jones, 59, Herndon, died at 8 p.m. Monday at his home of natural causes.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Maddux Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Rev. Earl Grace officiating. Burial will be in Powell Cemetery, LaFayette.

A native of Trigg County, he was born June 6, 1939; the son of Geneva Shaw Jones, Herndon, and the late Thomas H. Jones. He was a retired Civil Service employee at Fort Campbell and was a Vietnam Marine Corps veteran. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion and was a Baptist.

In addition to his mother, survivors include three daughters, Sandra Anna, Pennsylvania, Sheri Jones, Hopkinsville, Tracey Pedersen, Lake Worth, Fla.; five brothers, Henry, GayIon and Bruce Jones, all of Hopkinsville, Billy Jones, New Bedford, Mass., Robert Jones, Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Christy Mason, Hopkinsville, Ann Riddle Springfield, Tenn ., Pam Collins,. Florence, Ala.; and five grandchildren.
