5 June 1963: Mrs. Edna A. Nye Keefer, 63, 204 W. Cherry St., Palmyra, died Tuesday at the Harrisburg Hospital. She was the wife of Jere S. Keefer and a daughter of Daniel H. Nye of the Messiah Home, Harrisburg, and the late Ella Cassel Nye. She was a life member of the Brethren in Christ Church, Palmyra, and King's Daughters Sunday School Class. Besides her husband and her father, she is survived by five children: Mrs. Ruth E. Schock, Tennessee; Sherwood N., Hershey; Robert L., Gerald G., and Kenneth G., all of Palmyra. Nine grandchildren, three sisters, and two brothers also survive as follows: Mrs. Sarah Light, Palmyra; Mrs. Eva Hess, Washington Borough RD; Mrs. Mabel Herr, Palmyra; Daniel J. Nye, Wormleysburg, and Ralph Nye, Lititz. [Lebanon Daily News]

10 June 1963: Double burial services were held Saturday morning at the Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra, for Mrs. Edna A. Keefer, Palmyra, and her infant granddaughter, Shirley Jean Keefer. Mrs. Keefer died last Tuesday. Shirley Jean, one-day-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Keefer, 101 W. Pajahon St., Palmyra, died Friday at the Lebanon Sanatorium. Funeral services for Mrs. Keefer were held from the Brethren in Christ Church, Palmyra. The Rev. David P. McBeth, pastor of the Brethren in Christ Church, Palmyra, officiated. Besides the parents of the infant, other survivors are one brother, Scott Kenneth; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Kuhn, Lebanon; paternal grandfather, Jere S. Keefer, Palmyra; maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kuhn, Lebanon, and the paternal great-grandfather, Daniel H. Nye, of the Messiah Home, Harrisburg. The Donald E.
