First child born into a family of four. She was known by many names, daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend.

Dolinda was a Christian & a member of the Sylvester Advent Christian Church. She grew up in this church as her father was the pastor there. For a time they lived in the parsonage but then her parents purchased a house not far from the church and this is where the family grew up She talked often of her faith in Christ and looked forward to His coming again.

Dolinda was active in baton twirling and activities in school, she won the Miss Lakeview crown & represented her community in a number of parades and activities in neighboring communities.

After she graduated from Lakeview Community High School, she went to Baker College in Muskegon.

Dolinda married her husband on August 28, 1976 at her grandparent's church in Blanchard. To this union was born a son in 1978 and a daughter in 1980.

It was after the birth of her daughter that Dolinda was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Names of surviving family members have been omitted to protect their privacy.

She deeply loved her grandma Betty Scheese who preceded her in death.

Besides her husband, she was survived by her son & her daughter, her parents, two sisters, two brother's-in-law, a brother as well as a niece and a nephew. She was also survived by her maternal grandfather and his second wife, and her paternal grandparents who all have since passed.
