Therese "Terri" Ann Albers, age 83, of Montezuma died on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at her home. She was born on April 6, 1940 in Russia to the late Michael and Helen (Schweitzer) Gepfrey. She graduated from Holy Angels High School in Sidney in 1958 and the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati in 1962. She was an elementary school teacher for 31 years, beginning her career at Our Lady of the Rosary School in Dayton and retiring from Marion Local Schools. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Montezuma, the Altar Rosary/Christian Mothers' Sodality of the church, and the Mercer County Retired Teachers Association. In addition, she volunteered as a CCD teacher.

On August 8, 1964 she married Ivo Albers and he survives in Montezuma, also surviving are five children: Steve of Celina, Dan (Misty) of Montezuma, Janice (Phil) Gibbon of Bala Cynwyd, PA, Mark of Atlanta, GA, and Darrin (Samantha) of Fort Collins, CO; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings and in-laws: Wil (Pat) Gepfrey of Lapeer, MI, Paul (Sandy) Gepfrey of Troy, Miriam Macke of Mansfield, Fay Gepfrey of Laughlin, NV, Earl Newton of La Crosse, WI, and Luke Albers of Clayton. She is preceded in death by siblings and in-laws: Rosetta (Herman) Baltes, Gene (Kathy) Gepfrey, Kate (Merle) Frankhouser, Maynard Macke, Jim Gepfrey, Gene (Leona) Albers, Lucille Newton, Vi (Paul) Wachter, and Judy Albers.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery will follow the mass. Friends may call from 3 to 7 PM on Friday, July 14, and from 9 to 9:45 AM on Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice or the charity of the donor's choice.
