Sophie H. Cannon, 85, died Monday, June 14, 2010 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Born on May 7,1925 in Horry County, SC, She was the daughter of the late Gurney B. and Flossie Bell Floyd Harrelson.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved to be in her garden.
Mrs. Cannon is survived by one son, Luke Cannon of Conway; two daughters Cheryl Drew (Randy), Cathy Owens, both of North Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Rose Hooks of North Myrtle Beach, Verma Rae Blanton of Myrtle Beach; four grandchildren, Kale Strickland (Amy) of Cornelius, NC, Trapper Cannon (Kate), Ashley Cannon, both of Myrtle Beach, Zachary Cannon of Hollywood, Fl. and three great grandchildren. She is predeceased by a son Joey Cannon; brother Norman Harrelson and sister, Esther Prince.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 PM on Wednesday, June, 16, 2010 at Lee Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Ave. N. Suite 101 Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
