Killed on Active Service during World War 2 shortly before the Victory Day in Europe. He climbed the ranks to L/Corporal in the 7th battalion territorial regiment Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters.
His body was never found and so this is a memorial to him on the family grave. I have also found him on the Rangoon Memorial - No. 12 Pillar.
