Richard "Dick" Anthony, 76, died in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

Parents: Melvin B. and Pauline Reedy Anthony.

Wife: Rose Marie Blaz, married for 55 years.

He retired from Blair Strip Steel Corp. where he was a slitterman for more than 34 years. He was a high school graduate. He served in the Army Infantry's Fighting 29th, seeing combat in Korea. He was wounded while in the military and received the Purple Heart and other citations for his service. A member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 315, He was a member of the Slovak Club, the Tow-W-Jagielly Club and the Sponjia Club. He enjoyed going camping on Lake Erie and fishing for walleye and perch and deer hunting. He was a member of Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church.

Relatives: a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Jeanine Anthony of Hudson, Ohio; and two brothers, Elmer Anthony and Melvin Anthony Jr., both of Kittanning. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bernard Anthony; and a sister, Fern Herbst.
