At the young age of 76, Tommy went to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Post Acute Specialty Hospital in Hammond, with his family by his side. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish when he was younger. His passion was to work with metal as a welder and a mechanic for many years and taught many people this difficult trade. Tommy was also a member of Marrero Assembly of God Church. He loved making people laugh and getting into trouble where ever he went and will be missed dearly.
Tommy leaves behind his beloved wife of almost 55 years, Linda Mathes Biles; daughters, Kerry Renee Welch and husband Greg, Theresa Gail Danos and husband Rocky; son, Tommy Ray Biles and wife Karen; sisters; Doris and Geneva; ex-son-in-law, Big Eddie Arrazola; brothers Joe and Johnny; grandchildren, Charmain, Eddie Ellen, Liz, Shawntel, Alexis, Andrew and Amber; 12 great – grandchildren and one on the way.
Preceding Tommy in death were his parents, John and Lurleen Biles; and his brothers, William and Edwad "Curlie".
The family is having a private service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to the funeral home.
