Mathew Leroy Prettyman was born in Crawford co., Ohio to parents Arthur P. Prettyman and Carrie Bell Hale, he had sister Mildred Ellen who died very young, and a brother Cyril Prettyman. He married Irma Carmichael on Dec 25, 1920, they never had any children, but all the nieces and nephews were they children. Uncle Roy worked for the Health Dept, they took trips all over the United States. In 1952 they were on a trip with Aunt Mildred with them , they were involve in a car accident, Uncle Roy apparently had a heart attack, they crash into the back of a concrete building of a resturant in Champaign, Illinois, he died from his injuries. His wife Irma and sister-in-law Mildred recover in Indianapolis, Ind. He is buried in Memorial Park cem, in Indianapolis, Ind
