Gifford Beasley, 85, of Fontana Dam, NC passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Mission Hospital.
He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Joe and Florence Gunter Beasley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Hudson and Jim of Robbinsville, Raymond of Maryville, TN, Sisters, Thelma Morrow of Maryville TN, Iva Lee Turpin, Ollie Beasley and Betty Lou Beasley of Fontana Dam. NC.
He is survived by his wife Sheila Gladden Beasley; son, Steve Beasley (Rene') all of Fontana Dam, NC; sisters Margie Anderson, Eva Nell Turpin (Beacher) and Katherine Crane (Ronald) all of Fontana Dam, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Sunday, June 18, 2023, at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Reverends Onley Williams, Harold Beasley and Kevin Crane will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 7:00 pm prior to the service. Committal services will be at 11:00 am Monday, June 19, 2023, in the Yellow Branch Cemetery.
