Services for Jackie Wier Parker were held Tuesday, June 13 in the Benson Memorial Chapel with Matthew Miller officiating. Burial followed in the El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Jackie died June 9, 2023, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born Oct. 26, 1939, in Tribbey, Okla.

The family moved to El Reno when Jackie was 2 years old. After graduating from El Reno High School in 1958, he attended college before choosing to attend barber college.

He was the owner of Beau Brummel Barber Shop, retiring last year because of his health after 64 years of barbering.

Jackie served in the Oklahoma National Guard. He also was a member of the El Reno School Board for 10 years, Elm Street Church of Christ and Kiwanis, and sang in the Community Chorus.

On June 24, 1961, Jackie married Betty Miller. Betty survives him.

He is also survived by a son, Tommy Parker and wife, Amy of Kingfisher; daughter, Lori Benge of El Reno; grandchildren, Tommy Jackson Parker, Tanner Dawson Parker, Jaclyn Griesel-Gatton and husband, Devin, Samuel Griesel IV, Bre'ana Griesel, Nathaniel Benge, Geary Benge and Dewey Benge; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Wier and Anna (Bailey) Parker; son-in-law, Everett Benge; brothers, Hubert Parker and Wayne Parker; and sister, Jean Parker.
