He moved to Milton when he was six years old and attended Berryhill Elementry School. He graduated from Milton High School in 1953. He lettered in basketball, football, and baseball. He was a proud supporter of MHS athletics.
He was the owner of three businesses, Wallace Roofing Company, Bill Wallace Motors, and ERA Bill Wallace Realty. He was always known to be honest and trustworthy.
He was a member of Ferris Hill Baptist Church where he was a deacon. He drove the Church bus for over 50 years and was also director of the children's Church for many years. He touched the lives of hundreds of boys and girls who affectionately called him, "Brother Bill". He was also a charter member of Santa Rosa Gideon Camp.
