Daughter of Lawrence Albert & Dorothy Mae (Page)Nattrass. After the divorce of her parents, Betty's father remarried she was later raised by her loving step-mother, Ella (Quandt) Nattrass. Although Ella never had biological children of her own she was indeed "mom" to Betty and her brother.

Betty enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews for rides in the Nebraska country side to look at the stars, or over to Pier Park to feed the ducks. She was greatly loved for her ability to relate to children, taking them for rootbeer or out to swim at the park. Betty also loved her dogs, in particular a little brown dog named Brownie. She also adored Elvis Presley and took her nieces and nephew to every Elvis Presley movie ever made.

Married to Richard Bowman on 8-20-1971 in Grand Island, NE. It was the happiest time of her life and his kind gentle heart was a great joy. Betty waited anxiously for the day she would be reunited with Richard in heaven. During her last hours on this earth we sang to her "Love me Tender" and Amazing Grace. It is also extremely possible her niece may have tucked a photo of Elvis into the coffin before she was buried.

Aunt Betty left us with great love and a final chuckle when we looked at her Bible and saw that she listed as a family member her beloved Elvis Presley. She was a simple woman with a beautiful heart and faith in a loving God. She is missed.

She is a part of everything I have ever been or will ever be in this world. God bless her lasting peace. (her niece Teresa)
