ROBERT ARMISTEAD, JR., 85, of Memphis passed away Monday March 17 at St. Francis Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Friday March 21 at 2:30 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior at 1:30 on Friday, March 21. Robert was born May 30, 1922 to Robert A. Armistead Sr. and Wendelle Ramsey in Memphis, TN. Surviving is his daughter, Wendy (Bob) Welch of Nashville. Robert was a 1st Lt. WWII army veteran who flew B-25 bombers in the South Pacific. He went to Central High School, University of Pittsburgh, and Memphis State. He was owner and operator of Armistead Advertising as well as the Party Garden at Poplar Plaza.
