Ruby and Woody were married Oct. 17, 1945 in Meadowdale, Marion County, WV.
Ruby Dale (Meredith) Williams, 83, loving wife of Hershel Woodrow "Woody" Williams went home to her Jesus and Heavenly Father at 10:00 p.m., October 24, 2007 at their home on Wire Branch Road, Ona. She is survived by two daughters, Travie Jane Ross and husband Dean of Huntington and Tracie Jean Bryant and husband Mark of Barboursville; five grandsons, Brent Lee Casey of Louisville, KY, Bryan Leslie Casey and wife Jane of Belprey, Ohio, Todd L. Graham and wife Bille of Ona, Chad Lee Graham of Simpsonville, KY and Samuel Ross and wife Stephanie of Three Lakes, Wisc.; two great-grandsons, Cedar Ross and Benjamin Casey and three brothers, William G. Meredith of Emmittsburg, MD, Lloyd Meredith of Debois, PA and Paul K. Meredith of Woodbridge, VA.
She was a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church of Ona, where she attended for 37 years.
Instead of flowers, any gifts should be made to the church for the benefit of the youth program. There will be no graveside services as she requested her ashes be placed on the grounds of Royal Winds Farm on Wire Branch Road, Ona, which she and Woody started in 1970. A memorial grave site and memorial maker will be located in the Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Bethesda United Methodist Church with the Reverend Mark Fisher officiating. Friends may visit from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday 27, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
