Larry D. Balmer, 69, of 354 E. Main St., Lititz, passed away at his residence on March 16, 2008. Born in Brunnerville, he was the son of the late Galen W. & Ethel Mae Eitnier Balmer. Larry was married for 50 yrs. to Mary Lou Martin Balmer.

He was a member of Lititz Wesleyan Church, Lititz Senior Citizens, Reamstown Athletic Association, and Teamsters 771 Retirees Club. He served in the U. S. Army Reserves.

From 1958-1973 Larry worked as a Retail Salesman for Holsum Baker, later working for U.P.S. as a driver retiring in 1995. A Phillies fan, he loved to garden and play cards.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Balmer of Lititz; daughters, Lynn L. Balmer, Reamstown; Donna S., wife of Byron G. Smith, Chambersburg; grandson, Michael J.Landis, Brickerville, brothers, Donald R., husband of Evelyn Balmer, Lititz; Glenn E. Balmer, Hopeland; Bruce K., husband of Mary Ann Balmer, Lititz; and a sister, Norma M., wife of Elwood Sonnen of Richland.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 8:00 P.M. at Lititz Wesleyan Church, 540 E. Newport Rd., Lititz, with a viewing for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Brunnerville Cemetery on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. Contributions may be made in his memory to Hospice of Lancaster Co., P.O. Box 4125,
