James Kelley Kramer Sr., age 92 of Batesville, died Friday, March 14, 2008 at a Batesville hospital. He was born on December 26, 1915 in Rosie, Arkansas to Tom and Osie Ola Cook Kramer.
Kelley was a retired Missile Technician for General Dynamic ,and a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, having served in Germany. Once Kelley left Rosie, Arkansas he enlisted in a Civilian Conservation Corp. in 1935 until 1941, and he was the first director of Devil's Den State Park in Arkansas. Kelley resided in the Batesville area for ten years, moving from San Diego, California. Kelley was a member of Rosie Baptist Church and the VFW.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, fours sisters, and one granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife Hilda Kramer of Batesville; one son James Kramer Jr. of Rosie; one daughter Patsy Ann Rosado of San Diego, California; and one sister Tommie Harris.

Services will be Monday, March 17, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rosie Baptist Church with Ferrell Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Egner Cemetery in Salado, Arkansas with Steve Kramer, Tommy Kramer, Bobby Jo Kramer, Billy Jack Kramer, Conway Cook and Donald Anderson serving as pallbearers.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jackie Cook, Gene Cook, Wayman Kramer, David Kramer, and Dr. Tom Cummins.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Willis Funeral Service in Batesville from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Friends of the Devil's Den.
