Professional Football Player. Tony Teresa was a quarterback and halfback from San Jose State University. He played quarterback professionally from 1956 to 1957 with the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League. Teresa also played one game for the National Football League's San Francisco 49ers in 1958. In 1960, Teresa tried out for the new Oakland Raiders of the American Football League. He led the Raiders with 608 rushing yards and 10 total touchdowns in his lone season with the team.
