Susannah was the daughter of John Wright and Mittie Rivers. She married William Charles Brown on July 12, 1867 in McMinn County, Tennessee. They became the parents of fourteen children; five boys and nine girls.


NOTE; Susannah's place of death was determined from the heading of a letter written by John A. Brown (her son) to William R. Brown(his oldest son) as he was visiting her during her final days.
