Betty Sue Gray, 63

CHURCH HILL – Betty Sue Gray, 63, of 213 Carolyn Avenue, passed away Saturday (September 10, 2005) after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mrs. Gray was a life long resident of Sullivan and Hawkins Counties and was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Church Hill. She was a retired employee of Welmont Holston Valley Hospital & Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph E. and Hattie Hobbs Head,

She is survived by her husband, Fred Gray, Church Hill; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Scott and Judy Gray, Wilksboro, NC; Mark Lee and Stormi Gray, Knoxville; two grandsons, Micah and Noah Gray, one grand daughter, Ashleigh Gray; one brother, Ronnie Wayne Head, Kingsport; special cousin, Tommy Harren.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home.

Services will be conducted Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bud Beverly officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Liberty Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gary Roberts, Johnny McClellan, Chuck McClellan, Lowell Griffith, Elmer Cross, Howard Gilliam, Steve Smith and David Cash.
