She was born August 6, 1923. She was a housewife, a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, and a School Teacher at Horntown School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Hatfield; her parents, J. W. and Melvina Whobrey Puckett; two sisters, one brother, and one great-grandchild.
She is survived by two daughters, Marily Burden and Mellene Newton, both of Big Clifty; one son, Carroll Hatfield of Clarkson, Ky.; one sister, Evelyn Cain of Clarkson; seven granchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Antioch Christian Cemetery in Big Clifty.
