Funeral services of Mr. George Bundy were held yesterday at 3 p.m. at the Union Grove Cemetery, Harlem.
The late Mr. Bundy had been in ill health for the past six months, but only for the past five weeks has he been seriously ill. He was taken away suddenly Wednesday morning, the end coming at 2 a.m.
Deceased was born in North Carolina in 1852, moving with his parents to Bradford County as a babe. At the age of 12 he moved to Putnam County where he ever since toiled and labored, rearing his Family. Deceased was 81 years old lacking 5 months and 21 days of being 82.
He and his wife, who preceded him in death 3 years ago, lived together 55 years, rearing their children to be of great service to humanity.
As a result of this union 9 children were born, but only 4 survive, 3 sons, Ada, at home, Willie, Florahome, Earl, Palatka, and one daughter, Mrs. C. J. Minton, Palatka, with 14 grandchildren. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 8 Jun 1934.)
