Lois E. Swaisgood, 82, of Fremont and formerly of Helena died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Bethesda Care Center. She was born on January 14, 1926 in Gibsonburg to the now deceased Dale L. and Clara (Claar) Fought and raised in Gibsonburg, OH. Lois graduated from High School in 1943 and married classmate, Ronald Swaisgood on July 1, 1945. She moved to the farm where they lived for over 50 years. Lois was a homemaker, bookkeeper and retired in 1988 from the main office of Chemi-Trol Chemical Co. Since then they had moved to Fremont Ridgeview Condominiums, and spent their winters in Winter Haven, Florida. She enjoyed going to antique shows, auctions, collecting glass & dolls. Lois also loved traveling. Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters, Debra (Stanley) Jacobs of Montgomery, TX and Cynthia (William) Baker of Clyde, OH; four granddaughters; sisters, Dorothy Davis of Sylvania and Florence Neuendorff of Toledo. She is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation was held at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Funeral Services were held at the Faith United Methodist Church in Gibsonburg, officiated by Rev. Jerel Jackson. Burial followed at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
