Anthony was born in Newark, New Jersey to Vito and Constance Abarno. He lived in Irvington prior to moving to Kenilworth 55 years ago. He was an employee of Operating Engineers Local 825, working as a heavy machine operator at Tilcon until retiring in the early 2000's.
He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed traveling to horse races and loved the beach but most of all, he loved being with his grandchildren. There wasn't a single cheerleading competition, dance recital, soccer, football or lacrosse game that he missed.
He was predeceased by his parents, Vito and Constance Abarno, and his brother, Joseph Abarno.
Family and Friends are invited to celebrate Anthony's beautiful life on Monday, March 27, 2023. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St Theresa RC Church, Kenilworth at 10:30am with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
