Beatrice " Bea", of Port Arthur passed away on Sunday at Methodist Hospital in Houston.
A native of Port Arthur and a lifetime resident of the area, she worked at the courtesy booth at Bruce's Market Basket in Groves for over twenty years and enjoyed needlepoint and loved her cats.
Survivors include her son, Stephen Bearden; parents, Johnnie and Nadia Cardwell; brothers, Johnnie Cardwell Jr. and his wife Pat and Bill Cardwell and his wife Lynda; her sister, Nadia Philmon and her husband Ken and her best friend, Jackie Stevens.
