Son of Stephen Roth and Josephine Schweitzer. His first marriage was to Mary Henrietta Robinson on 22 Sep 1919 in Lafayette. They had two daughters, Mary Louise and Marjorie Elizabeth. Mary Henrietta died on 18 Jul 1923. His second marriage was to Lucille Faulkner Riddle on 11 Sep 1930.

George W. Roth, 91 of 2604 Kossuth Street died at 12:39 a.m. Sunday in Home Hospital, shortly after he was admitted here. He suffered an apparent massive cerebral hemorrhage at his residence.

Mr. Roth was employed as a foreman at Wright Machine Co. for 28 years retiring in 1960. He and his wife operated Roth's Restaurant which was located on Sagamore Parkway several years ago.

Born August 29, 1895 in Lafayette he was reared here and spent his entire life here. His marriage was September 11, 1930 in Lafayette to Lucille N. Faulkner, who survives.

He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. A World War I Army veteran, he served in France.

Surviving with the widow are three daughters, Mary L. Roth and Wardina Randolph both of Lafayette and Marjorie Holscher of Fowler. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Six sisters and 3 brothers preceded him in death.
