Charles Mack Wills, Jr. passed away on January 14, 2023 at home in East Palatka.
Mack was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 5, 1926 to Charles and Jessie (Hamrick) Wills, Sr. He entered the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 during World War II, serving in the Pacific. Later, serving with the U.S. Army, he fought in the Vietnam War. Mack served in the military for 36 years, retiring as a Colonel. He was married to Helen Haberland Wills on June 1, 1966, who preceded him in death in 1978. [1979]
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Gary and Victoria Rayfield; grandchildren Taylor James Rayfield and Alissa Nicole Rayfield; and sister Florence Wills Kramer.
