Mrs. Buckner was born Feb. 25, 1929, in Madison County, and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life.
She was a daughter of the late Curn and Harriett Sprinkle Hollifield.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years; a son and daughter-in-law; two brothers; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild.
