HUBERT H. HOWELL Hubert Henderson Howell died suddenly today at 6 a.m. at his home on Robinson Rd. He was 53 years old. Surviving are three daughters born to him and his first wife, the late Mrs. Buena Davis Howell: Mrs. Johnny Huffstetler of Carey, N, C, Mrs, Joseph Parrish of Anchorage, Alaska, and Mrs. Moody Higgins of Sumter, S. C.; Three sons born to his second wife, who survives, Mrs. Bobbie Walker Howell: Wesley, Henderson and Richard Howell, all of the home; five sisters, Mrs. Ed Patterson and Mrs. Roy Falls of Clover, S. C„ Mrs. June Dulin of Bowling Green, S. C., Mrs. Paul Carpenter of Gastonia, and Mrs. William Lovelace of Asheville; and two brothers, William W. and Pat Howell of Gastonia. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at-Carothers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4 p. m. at OIney Presbyterian Church with the pastor, the Rev. Murray Love, and the Rev. Z. Miller Freeman of Sandy Plains Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the cemetery, The body, to remain at Carothers. Funeral Home, will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the services.
