Funeral services for Joyce Ann Cruse, age 75, of Shelbyville, will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Lovvorn officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Tullahoma, TN. Mrs. Cruse passed from this life early Tuesday morning, February 8, 2023 at her son's home surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be held Saturday, prior to funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Joyce was born August 8, 1947, in Nashville, TN to the late Ballard "Red" and Pauline English Farmer. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by: sisters, Elizabeth Cobb and Gene Farmer; and brothers, Bobby Watkins, Eugene Watkins, J.B Farmer and Richard Farmer.

Joyce was a loving, caring, hardworking mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend that loved music. From singing on the radio as a child with Chett Atkins playing guitar to most recently singing karaoke at the Moose Lodge. She was one of the founding members of The Women of the Moose. She was Christian in faith and will be missed by all of her family and friends.

Survivors include: children, Robert Stevens of Shelbyville, Debra Upson of Wartrace and Donnie (Courtney) Cruse of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Brittany (Scottie) Spry, Ariel Upson, David Hardison and Alayna Cruse; great grandchildren, Kylie, Dylan, Dagan, Zoey, Analyn, Dakota, Madison, Izabella and Rayden; along with many nieces and nephews; and best friend, LeAnna Clanton of Shelbyville.
