Born in Gilford, he had resided in this community all his life. He was a 1925 graduate of the Tilton Preparatory School.
He was employed by the Public Service Company of New Hampshire for 31 years and had owned and operated a radio repair shop in town for several years. He was a member of Doric Lodge No. 78 F&AM.
Suvivors include his wife, Ellen (Lees) Gilman of Tilton; one daughter, Mrs. Fay (Gilman) Kulus of Northfield; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Weeks of Belmont and Mrs. Helen Greenlaw of Laconia; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held this afternoon at the R. Paul Paquette Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Corringham, rector of the Episcopal Church, officiated.
Burial followed in Park Cemetery.
