Lois McIntosh Agee, 73, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2004. She had been a resident of Xenia, OH since 1958 and a resident of Greenewood Manor in Xenia since 2000. Lois was born in Breathitt County, KY on June 24, 1931, the daughter of Elmer and Dora Spencer McIntosh. She was a licensed practical nurse caring for the elderly until her retirement. She worked at King Street Nursing Home and Heathergreen I and II in Xenia and Jamestown, Ohio and remained an advocate for the elderly until her death. Lois was a devoted mother to her 8 children, instilling Christian values at an early age. Lois was a former member of the Church of God in Xenia. Lois enjoyed reading the Bible and attending Bible studies, traveling, playing bingo, gatherings with her family and decorating for holidays. Holidays were especially fun for Lois and she always decorated her home in a festive manner. Her home was always a welcoming place for her family and friends. She will truly be missed by her family and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, the father of her children, Clyde Agee; son Robert Agee; grandson Paul Chaffins; granddaughter Paula Chaffins; brothers Lotis "Butch" and Douglas McIntosh; and sisters Christina McIntosh and Marie Napier; daughter-in-law Sonya Dee Agee; son-in-law Buster Chaffins. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Brenda Langford (Homer) and Verena Johnson (Forrest) of OH, and Deborah Issac (William) of WV, and sons Ronald (Sandra) Agee; Rickey (Erin) Agee, Randy (Kandy Back) Agee, and Clyde Agee Jr., all of OH and 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; a sister Mae Mullins of Ohio and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family. "And I heard a great voice out of the heavens saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there will be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away." Rev. 21:3-4.
