WEST POINT - Virginia Q. Malone died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, at West Point Community Living Center. She was born December 7, 1927, in Cedar Bluff and was a junior college librarian in North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. She was a member of Cedar Bluff United Methodist Church. A Graduate of Mississippi State College for Women, she was the daughter of the late Virgie May Lyon and Mack Queen Malone. She was also predeceased by sister, Martha Malone Ferretti, and brother, Charles Edward Malone.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Inge Halbert officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Bluff Methodist Cemetery.

Survivors include a number of cousins.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Gilliland, Jason Gilliland, Henry Applewhite, Chuck Howell, John Howell and Ben Howell.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Cedar Bluff United Methodist Church c/o Oliver Lee Watson, 1118 West Loop Drive, West Point, MS 39773.
