Ronald W. Barton, 63, of 447 Old Stage Road, Church Hill, died at noon Friday, Oct. 10, 1997, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport.

Mr. Barton's sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Joe Russell, are Oak Ridge residents.

He was born in Kingsport and lived there until he moved to Church Hill in 1994. He was the son of Joseph and Lotus Barton and was a U. S. Army veteran.

Mr. Barton retired in 1996 from Arcadia Graphics. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Kingsport.

His wife, Jenny Ferrell Barton, died in 1992.

In addition to his local sister and brother-in-law, he is survived by a son, Jeffrey Barton of Church Hill; a brother, Charles Barton of Kingsport; and by several nieces and nephews.

Barbara Robinette of Kingsport was considered a special friend.

The funeral will be at 8 tonight, Oct. 13, at Calvary Baptist Church in Kingsport with the Rev. John K. Coates, the Rev. Frank Crawford and the Rev. Bill Gruenewald officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at East Lawn Memorial Park in Kingsport.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the church.

Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home in Kingsport is in charge of arrangements.
