Mrs. Ables was born November 21, 1934 in Hogansville, GA daughter of the late Walter Brooks and Autry Presley Brooks.
She was Baptist by faith and attended Shady Woods Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Autry Brooks; her husband, Frank T. Ables; two sons, Tom and Larry Ables; two sisters, Evelyn Lee Brooks and Becky Brooks.
Survivors include her two children, Elaine Ables Scarbrough and David Wayne Ables; two sisters, Helen Moore and Nancy Williamson; three daughters-in-law, Sandra Lance, Brenda Ables and Liz Ables; two grandchildren, Tracy Underwood (Anthony) and Julie Ables; four greatgrandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren
