Roy Henry Abercrombie, age 90 of Ellijay, GA passed on Friday, June 17, 2022. Roy was born September 27, 1931, in Ellijay, GA to his late parents Richard Martin and Lorena May (Smith) Abercrombie.
Roy was a member of Pleasant Gap Baptist Church. Roy was an automotive dealer and a real estate developer, but his greatest pride was his role as a beloved father and Pop.
Roy is preceded in death by infant daughter Daphne Lynette Abercrombie, brothers Clyde Abercrombie, Hoyt Abercrombie, Otis Abercrombie, and Herman Abercrombie.
Survivors include wife of 73 years Elzie Janelle (Davis) Abercrombie of Ellijay, Helen (David) Stuart of Jasper, Karen (Claude) Wright, Ellijay, sisters Rosa Lee Burgess of Ellijay, Mattie Hood of Ellijay, Elsie Kowitz of Ellijay, brothers Leonard (Betty) Abercrombie of Ellijay, James (Teresa) Abercrombie of Adairsville; many beloved extended generations also survive.
The funeral service will be Sunday, June 19, 2022, at 3:00 pm at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel.
