Kristin Lynn Huggins, 31, of Newton, died on Thursday, December 15, 2022. Memorial service at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

Kristin, the daughter of Gwen Niblack, was born on December 4, 1991, in Hope, Arkansas. She grew up in Burlington and moved to Newton in the 2nd grade. Kristin attended Newton schools and PCM schools, graduating from Newton High School in 2010. She earned a BA in Hospital Administration from Purdue University.

Kristin served in the U.S. Army for six years. Most recently she was working for Trimble in technical support as a trainer for customer service representatives. She enjoyed running. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her daughters, Juniper and Rosalie. They especially loved doing crafts together. Kristin was a talented artist and gifted drawer. She was also a botanist and raised plants to sell to others. On June 15, 2022, Kristin married Brandon Huggins in Newton. They enjoyed going to concerts together. 

Kristin is survived by her husband, Brandon Huggins of Newton; two daughters, Juniper Boss and Rosalie Smith; her mother, Gwen Niblack; grandmother, Gwen Swan of Newton; her uncle, Tony Niblack who always lovingly called Kristin "Popeye"; and her aunt, Minnie Dunn.  

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, David Swan.
