John Evans "Sandy" Arthur, 80, of Asheville, died Friday, August 22, 2003, in a Fairview nursing center.
Mr. Arthur was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late J. Nathan Arthur, Sr. and Olive Evans Arthur.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Starnes, and two brothers, James N. "Jim" Arthur and Charles W. "Chunk" Arthur.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of WW II and was a retired home builder. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be at Green Hills Cemetery
