Richard Lee "Rich" Mazzoli, born August 14, 1935, died September 26, 2021. He was a graduate of St. Xavier High School, the University of Louisville and a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel. Rich loved his family. He had a passion for woodworking, the outdoors, and was quite a good athlete playing softball well into his 80's. Rich is survived by his wife, Sunny; daughter, Marisa Shaw (Tony); three sons, Steve, Leo (Annette), Nick (Theresa); 5 grandchildren, Amanda Shaw, Tressa White, and Christina Spickard, Casey & Craig Mazzoli; 3 great-grandchildren, Trent, Avery and Nora; brother, Romano Mazzoli and his family; and the family of his sister, Patricia, who preceded him in death. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Owen Funeral Home, Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road.
